The Planning Division of the Community Development Department provides service and information to the general public and the development community on the City of RoseburgUrban Area Comprehensive Plan, Land Use and Development Ordinance (LUDO), Site Plan Review Process and Land Use Process. Planning Staff implements Ordinance and Plan requirements through the Site Plan Review Process, Land Use Action Process and Special Projects. Specifically, the Planning Division reviews potential development opportunities to ensure compliance with zoning, setback, parking, landscaping, access and other City requirements.

In addition to acting as the clearinghouse for the development processes, the Planning Division provides staffing for the City Council on land use and special project matters, and administrative support for the Planning Commission, the Historic Resource Review Commission and the Economic Development Commission. Information on items such as transportation planning, addressing, floodplain management, hillside development/geologic reivew, historic inventories, wetland information, population and other various subject matters can be obtained from the Planning Division.

The Planning Division can provide information for all facets of development and land use within the City limits and in some areas outside the City limits, within the Urban Growth Boundary.
