Economic Development

The Economic Development Commission meets at 3:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October in the 3rd floor Conference Room at Roseburg City Hall. Click here for agendas

The Commission encourages cooperation between public and private sectors to provide an effective community economic development program including upgrading and renewal of neighborhoods and attractions and retention of businesses.

The City of Roseburg also funds the Roseburg Visitors and Convention Bureau and supports the work of the Downtown Roseburg Association. The City is an important funder of the Partnership for Economic Development in Douglas County.

The Partnership’s primary focus is retention and recruitment of businesses that sell products or services beyond the local trade area. However, The Partnership recognizes that the overall health of the local economy depends on many different factors and to the end supports the many organizations that promote the economic health of Douglas County.

The Partnership actively assists businesses to:

establish new markets;
improve efficiency;
tackle permitting and regulatory challenges;
find new sites;
resolve workforce challenges;
make use of incentives;
integrate into our community.
