NEWS RELEASE
April 2, 2015

The Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs is proud to present the second annual Unleashed K9 Event on Saturday, April 25th at the Legion Baseball Field across from Stewart Park.  This event is rain or shine and free for all ages.  Watch as the K9s demonstrate their strength, speed, pursuit and jumping ability - all unleashed!  This year two Springfield Police K9s are joining our local Roseburg Police and Douglas County Sheriff K9 teams to perform demonstrations.  This is the first time these three agencies will join together to demonstrate their styles and skills with their Police K9s in our area. This is a demonstration you will not want to miss!  Please keep your pets at home as no pets will be permitted into the event.

The Friends of Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs is a non-profit group that raises money to help City Police, County Sheriff and the Umpqua Search and Rescue K9 teams. Funds raised help pay for the dogs, handler police equipment, retrofitting police cars, training for dogs and handlers, dog housing, food bowls, leashes, uniforms and much more.
