ROSEBURG, Ore. – Love books? Then prepare to fall in love with another great find at the Friends of the Roseburg Public Library’s Spring Book Sale.

The Friends will hold a bargain book sale at the library, 1409 NE Diamond Lake Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 2; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 3; and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4. The library’s Ford Room will be full of books for every age and nearly every interest.

The sale includes fiction, science fiction, mysteries and nonfiction including history, gardening and cookbooks. DVDs, children’s books and young adult fiction also will be offered.

Most books have been donated or withdrawn from the library collection, so they may be slightly worn or contain library markings. Items may not be in perfect condition, but they are not damaged or defaced.

The sale will feature a selection of art books and new books published in the last three years for $5 each. Children’s books and mass-market paperbacks are 25 cents. All other books will be 50 cents. Don’t forget to check out the Friends’ permanent bookstore inside the library, which always features free magazines and a wide range of books for up to 50 cents each. All bargain books, including those in the permanent bookstore, will be 25 cents on Saturday.

The Friends of the library continues to accept donations of gently used books, DVDs and audiobooks on CD at the front desk during library hours. The Friends also accepts magazines published within the past three years.

Proceeds benefit the library’s collections, programs and projects. The Friends recently bought the library a printer/copier for the public and sponsored the Winter Reading Program and grab-and-go craft kits.

Please contact the library at 541-492-7050 for more information or if you’re interested in helping with the sale.
