Officers responded for a report of a single vehicle traffic crash. After an investigation, Officers learned Collins had been driving west on NE Klamath Ave. and came to the intersection of NE Winchester St., where she started to make a left turn into the roadway. Collins' vehicle's steering went out mid turn, causing her to drive over the sidewalk on the west side of the street and crash through a fence on private property. Collins stated her vehicle had known steering problems, but she continued to drive it anyway. Collins also did not have vehicle insurance. No injuries were reported. The property owner was contacted. |
