Annual fire hydrant flushing to begin

RoseburgAdmin

ROSEBURG, Ore. – The Roseburg Fire Department will conduct annual fire hydrant flushing in Roseburg from Monday, April 1, through Sunday, June 30.

Hydrants will be flushed seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

During the flushing process, water customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water. While the water is safe to drink, residents may prefer to run the water until that runs clear before drinking the water or washing clothes and dishes.

The Roseburg Fire Department realizes hydrant flushing may cause some inconvenience. However, the flushing program is necessary to ensure the proper functioning and delivery of adequate water from the city’s water mains when needed for fire control.

The community’s cooperation with this hydrant-flushing program is appreciated.
