Lookingglass Road maintenance to start

RoseburgAdmin

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Drivers should use caution and expect delays when maintenance to extend the life of Lookingglass Road begins next week in southwest Roseburg.

Cracks in the roadway are being sealed before chip repairs are to be performed in August.

The Roseburg Public Works Department will seal cracks in about 4,700 linear feet, or 0.90 miles, of the road from Harvard Avenue south to the city limits starting Monday, July 10, weather permitting. The work will be performed on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m. and is expected to be finished by Friday, July 21.

The road will remain open, but expect delays, possible detours and/or flagging to control traffic.

The City of Roseburg appreciates residents’ understanding and patience throughout the project. Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone.

For project updates, please follow the City’s social media channels on Facebook and Nextdoor, and visit the Public Works Department’s projects page on the City’s website.
